Head to Victoria's Trust to follow the future of Victoria's Legacy.

VICTORIA'S TRUST
Following the passing of Yorkshire Voice Therapy's founder, Victoria, it’s with the greatest sadness that we have announce we’ll be closing Yorkshire Voice Therapy.

We’ve explored all the options to continue trading as a viable business, but none of the options we’ve explored allow us to offer the same excellence & duty of care to voice patients that Victoria offered.

Vic truly strived for the best for everyone that walked through the door of any of the YVT sites, and poured endless hours into changing the lives of those she could.

Thanks to everyone that made it happen & supported Vic from the start right through to the very end. Know it was truly appreciated.

While behind the scenes we’ll continue to explore Vic’s legacy through the charity, community work & collaborations in her memory, this is the end of the road for YVT.

If you want to follow the progress of Victoria’s Trust, you’ll be able to do so through instagram, or the website.

Keep being gentle, keep being kind, keep being positive & try to be a little more Vic.

Victoria Halstead
Founder - DECESEASED
Victoria was a qualified Speech & Language Therapist with almost a decade of experience working in the specialist field of ENT. She developed a passion for creating effective, evidence based therapy packages for voice, swallowing and upper airway disorders. She worked within the NHS as a Highly Specialist Speech Therapist at one of the leading hospitals for voice disorders in the UK.

Her previous post was as the Clinical Lead for voice disorders at the Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust and prior to this, she worked within the specialist voice team at the Leeds General Infirmary. These roles have allowed Victoria to develop highly specialist skills and a holistic understanding of voice disorders in the context of your life and wellbeing. Victoria was also active in clinical research and completed a Masters in the field of Vocal Fatigue in professional voice users.

Victoria had a particular interest in working with professional voice users, vocal difficulties resultant from surgery and researching the links between psychological wellbeing and voice disorders.

Victoria's method relied on a combination of listening to the needs and wishes of clients plus several years of experience of voice therapies, that provided a bespoke package of care to suit you. This is an ethos we're striving hard to continue.
